Delfi-C3 (DO-64) update Rascal

Delfi-C3 Telemetry Reception

NEW SERVER SETTINGS (July 2015)

Delfi-C3-RascalOn 8 July 2015, the Delfi-C3 telemetry server will be migrated to a new environment. This also means that the RASCAL server settings need to be changed.

The transition will take place during the 8th of July. On this day both servers will not be offline for 4 -8 hours to be able to migrate the databases. The local repository of the RASCAL telemetry client frames should be sufficient to avoid data loss for the downtime. Our advice is to add the new server as primary/secondary server before the 8th and remove the old server after we have notified that the migration is successful.

QSL from Delfi

Today a surprise in the mail, I have received two QSL cards from the Delfispace team. Thank you very much and I hope the satellite building tradition will continue in the coming years. The next satellites will be Delta and Phi (DelFFi) and the launch is scheduled for next year.

Delfi-C3 has celebrated its 6th birthday on the 28th of April. The spacecraft is still operational, telemetry only, on 145.870 USB.

Delfi-C3 has exceeded its mission lifetime by six times now, and on-board telemetry still does not indicate degradation in performance.

So far, our distributed ground station network (DGSN) has collected 2037513 frames as of today, received by 376 registered radio amateurs and many more on the guest account, using the free RASCAL software. This would not have been possible without your continued support.

Please note that the original team of students has long graduated, and delfi-c3 operations are done by very few volunteers. We continue to monitor the live telemetry in our spare time.

DO-64 Telemetry 09-10-2013

Delfi-C3 Telemetry 09-10-2013 08:39 – 08:50 UTC
Max elevation 18 degree, azimuth 028 – 157 degrees.

Because of a lot of carriers around the telemetry downlink frequency it is normally very difficult for me to decode the data from Delfi-C3. This morning it was going pretty well.
I have recorded the whole pass and as you can hear the satellite had some strange transmissions problems at the begin of the pass.

In total over 150 frames received and passed to the data collection server.
